“So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.” Romans 11:5-6
Here at The Remnant, our tagline is "Chosen by Grace."
But what does it mean to be chosen by grace?
It means that we, humanity, cannot do anything of our own effort to become a part of God's family and avoid the judgment for our sin we all deserve. We cannot earn or work our way to salvation. We cannot save ourselves!
But, God made a way by sending his perfect Son, who lived a perfect life and became the perfect sacrifice to atone for humanity’s sin. And through His Son, God now extends this precious gift of grace and forgiveness to all those who are willing to confess Jesus as Lord and believe in Him as Savior.
He offers us this free gift to all, even today, that we don't deserve!
This is the amazing and radical message of the gospel; because if we never did anything to earn our salvation, that means we can't do anything to lose it!
Salvation and being a part of Christ's body has nothing to do with works or being 'good enough’. Instead, it has everything to do with a loving, gracious, and perfect God who chooses to rescue us!
