When you meet someone who’s genuinely gentle, kind, and loving, it’s nearly impossible to not be affected by them in a positive way! Hannah is one of those people! Her positivity radiates everywhere she goes! When she smiles, it warms the room. When she laughs, it’s contagious. When she dances, you can’t help but join in. We positively love her and can’t wait to share her positivity with you!
*What brought you to The Remnant?
I became involved in a youth group that had been run by a member of The Remnant at the time. I stayed at that youth group for a few years and was in and out of going to Remnant community events. At the time, I was in a traveling gospel choir, which prevented me from being able to regularly go to my past church. Often times, I was singing during service times at different churches in the area. Well, The Remnant was a night church during this time. So one Sunday, I woke up and just knew I needed to go to service, and so I went. It wasn’t much longer after this that I made it my church and haven’t looked back! I’m unbelievably blessed and thankful to be part of this church for 5 years now!
*What is your current role at The Remnant?
I currently serve in Children’s Church, on the Prayer Team, and on the Cleaning Team. I am good at watching babies and providing comedic relief. I also do have to humbly state that I have some of the best dance moves when we have Remnant weddings. Lastly, I’m somewhat average at playing volleyball, so that comes in handy on Tuesdays!
*How is God speaking to you lately / what is God teaching you?
This year has honestly brought a few big changes to my life! I personally do not necessarily enjoy going through big changes as I tend to be a fearful or anxious person. However, through these situations I have learned that God is faithful to doing as His Word says. The verse I keep being reminded of in this season of my life is: “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28.
I’ve seen Him work so many things out for my good, whether it’s what I thought was good or not, and despite sometimes feeling that things were not good. He’s brought me peace, comfort, and joy in the midst of really some sad and scary days. He’s shown His love for me and I see His kind hand more clearly than I did before He changed my circumstances. He’s real, and He really loves His children!
