Drumroll please…. We are thrilled to introduce to you the one and only, Jenny Neer!!! Jenny and her family are some of the newer faces at The Remnant, but they have already become like family to us. And despite being one of our newer members, she had no problem diving right into serving along with us on our meal team, connections team, and children’s ministry team. Jenny is one-of-a-kind, and her gentleness and love is so evident when she speaks!
*How long have you been at The Remnant? What brought you to The Remnant?
We have been at The Remnant for about 9 months now. We felt that The Remnant was where God was leading our family. I loved and still love the boldness and heart behind our pastor. I saw and see how much he loves his flock. We believe that God is doing and will be doing great, big things through this church and we just want to be a part of it! I love the hearts of our pastors and everyone that helps lead this church. I'm just so glad to be a member of this church!!
*How is God speaking to you lately? What is God teaching you?
God is teaching me that it's okay to be vulnerable. That what I was before I came back to Christ doesn't matter anymore because I am forgiven, and I'm not that person anymore. I haven't always been able to let many people in, and I just figured out a way to make it "okay," but really all I was doing was sweeping it under a rug. I'm not perfect at it yet, but I am slowly learning how to let my guard down and let people see me as who I am and not only what I think they would want to see.
My sisters on our group chat have shown me that it's okay to open up and let people in by their example of being open and transparent with their lives! We all struggle and have things that need prayer. I love how the ladies at this church dig a little deeper to help you process through so it doesn't create a foot hold where Satan can get his nasty self in and create more of a mess.
This is what a body of believers is suppose to look like. Imperfect people helping imperfect people grow closer to God and showing His love to others who need Him. Growing the kingdom.
