We have been so blessed by the many volunteers who serve in our ministry teams. Our volunteers are the ones who make real ministry happen and without them we wouldn’t be the same. Norman is just one of those amazing volunteers! He serves on multiple ministry teams including youth and children’s ministry, connections team, and prayer team! We recently had a chance to ask Norman a few questions so you can get to know him better!
*How long have you been at The Remnant?*
5 or 6 or 7 years…. I lost track now that we’ve haven’t playing softball in couple years due to Covid. Softball was how I used to count my years!
*What brought you to The Remnant?*
I want to say the clique answer: God. My family and I were attending a different church but we had stopped for a while because of personal things. I was in prayer because it was time to be at a new church, and I just knew The Remnant was the place for my family. What keeps me here is the community! I really love the community and the people. It’s where I feel I’m supposed to be!
*How is God speaking to you lately and what is God teaching you?*
Relationships.
There’s been personal stuff presently and in my past I’ve been working through. And with that, God has been teaching me to trust people. I have had to work on giving up my idea of what relationships are and what they look like and, out of that, show grace to people.
